How to use AuthoredUp as a ghostwriter? How to post content on someone's behalf?

Updated:

If you are a ghostwriter or a social media manager creating and posting content on LinkedIn on behalf of your clients, there are a few important things to keep in mind.

  • To efficiently manage multiple LinkedIn profiles through AuthoredUp, it is essential to opt for the business plan.
  • While you can link numerous LinkedIn profiles to a single AuthoredUp account, it's crucial to note that each LinkedIn profile can only be associated with one AuthoredUp account. Consequently, if you connect your clients' profiles to your account, they won't have the ability to link their profiles.
  • The AuthoredUp extension functions as an overlay on LinkedIn, allowing you to create and publish content only on the active profile. Therefore, to publish content as a ghostwriter on your clients' profiles, you'll need access to their login credentials (email and password). This is because we avoid automation, refrain from utilizing APIs, and do not access LinkedIn cookies.

Should a client desire to have their own AuthoredUp account or chooses not to provide their LinkedIn credentials, you can leverage the team collaboration feature to create drafts for them. Afterwards, they can independently publish these drafts as posts whenever it suits them.
